This book is for two types of people. The first type includes those who may have never considered God—or they may be open to the idea of God, but are not sure what to believe about God, church, and Christians. With so many ideas and opinions out there, it’s hard to know what to believe, isn’t it? And everyone can point out an example, can’t they? Everyone has a plan for your life. Everyone wants your vote. Everyone wants you to believe as they do. It seems as if everyone has their own agenda, don’t they?

The second type includes the churched people who are looking for real-life answers to everyday issues. This book equips you for life, not just church life. It’s wisdom for everyday living. I address issues that you may never hear spoken about in your church. Churches are generally very good at churchy stuff, but not always the best at real-life stuff. Most seminaries don’t always equip pastors for that stuff either.

So, I have written on everyday issues, on everyday things, in everyday language that you, your friends, your family, and your community will understand. It’s theologically correct yet totally relatable. There’s no compromise, but there is courtesy. It has the best meat of all for churched people…wisdom!

Everyone loves to laugh and you will laugh. The purpose of this book is to build a bridge between you, the reader, and God. I desire to help you find God, humorously and tactfully. Someone once said, “Tact is the art of making a point without making an enemy.” That is what I do. I’ll tell the truth, and I use wisdom. At the very least, you will get another opinion.

The chapters are bite-size (and very nutritious!), so you can read one or a few at work, at play, at home, in the bathroom, wherever. They aren’t lengthy discourses weighted down with terms impossible to digest. The topics will inspire, encourage, motivate, and get your day going. The topics are enjoyable and engaging, yet impacting and transforming. You will discover the real God by finding out what He thinks about your everyday issues.

So clear the static, open your mind, and enjoy the revelation. Allow God to speak through the words you read. Enjoy it and employ it! You aren’t “spending time” reading this book, you are “investing time,” and you will get a great return on your investment!

Learning How To Trust . . . Again, the latest release from internationally known speaker and author Dr. Ed Delph and Alan and Pauly Heller hits bookstore shelves this week. The biblically based self-help book explains the operation of people’s God-inspired necessity to trust. The writing team enlightens readers with wit and wisdom collected through their combined 90-plus years in Christian ministry. Learning How to Trust . . . Again illuminates what can go wrong when people are deeply hurt, causing them to become “trust impaired.” The authors prescribe restorative spiritual and practical wisdom that, combined with courage, prayer, informed choices and the power of God, will enable readers to trust again and confidently resume a fulfilled life.

A mixture of real-life stories, common sense, and most importantly, wisdom from the Bible, will help people understand what has gone wrong in their thinking about life’s circumstance and how to repair it.

This book empowers readers to overcome what the authors believe is the greatest enemy of emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being: the inability to trust in God, oneself or anyone else.
