Staff/Parish Relations

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) is elected annually by the
charge conference. The committee assists the pastor and staff in assessing
their gifts and setting priorities for leadership and service. The committee
also is responsible for generating job descriptions, and hiring for these
positions. The trustees are ultimately responsible for the monitoring of
performance against these job descriptions.  The committee is composed of
not fewer than five, and not more than nine persons.  One of these members
shall be a young adult, and one member may be a youth. Members are elected
for a three year term, and only one person from an immediate family residing
in the same household shall serve on the committee.
The committee must meet at least quarterly, and additionally at the request
of the bishop, the district superintendent, the pastor, any member of the
professional staff, or the chairperson of the committee.
